Have you ever found yourself in a high-stress situation, feeling like your body is reacting on it's own accord? That's because it is.

Hypnotherapy & Coaching Mastering Your Stress Response

Have you ever found yourself in a high-stress situation, feeling like your body is reacting on it's own accord? That's because it is.

When faced with stress, our autonomic nervous system kicks into gear and responds in one of five ways. The good news is hypnotherapy and coaching can help!

Understanding these responses can be a game-changer for women business owners. Beautiful entrepreneurs like you!

The autonomic nervous system (ANS) is like the CEO of your body. It regulates involuntary functions such as heart rate, digestion, respiratory rate, pupillary response, and more.

Under stress, the ANS activates one of five responses: fight, flight, freeze, fawn, or fatigue.

1. Fight: You confront the challenge head-on.

2. Flight: You want to escape the stressful situation.

3. Freeze: You become paralyzed and unable to act.

4. Fawn: You try to please others to diffuse tension.

5. Fatigue: You feel drained and disengaged.

As a woman business owner or entrepreneur navigating through demanding situations daily - from negotiating deals to managing teams - understanding your default stress response can empower you to manage stress effectively.

For instance, if you're a 'fighter,' you might tend to push back when under pressure, which could lead to conflicts with employees or partners if not managed well. Recognizing this tendency allows you to consciously choose a more collaborative approach when needed.

If 'flight' is your go-to response, important issues may get swept under the rug in an try to avoid confrontation, leading to potentially unresolved problems that grow over time. Knowing this can help prompt proactive problem-solving instead of evasion.

Those who 'freeze' might find decision-making difficult during crises, which could delay crucial actions needed for business survival during tough times like economic downturns or pandemics.

If 'fawning' is your automatic reaction - trying too hard to please clients or employees at the cost of personal well-being or business profits - it's essential to establish boundaries and prioritize needs.

And for those who experience 'fatigue’, understanding this response can help in creating a balanced work schedule with regular breaks to prevent burnout.

Remember, no stress response is inherently bad. They are survival mechanisms developed over millennia of human evolution.

The key comes from recognizing your patterns and developing strategies to respond effectively under stress.

The mission of entrepreneurship is like sailing through turbulent seas. Understanding your stress responses is akin to knowing how your ship behaves in a storm – invaluable knowledge that could mean the difference between sinking or steering toward success.

So, ladies, take time to understand your body's language during stressful times. It's one of the most powerful tools you have as a successful business owner.

With coaching and hypnotherapy, we can uncover which stress response resonates with you and use this knowledge to navigate your entrepreneurial journey!
